By rail: from Interlaken Ost there is a direct service to Grindelwald station. Note: Always sit in the rear section of the train and stay on until the end of the line. The journey from Interlaken to Grindelwald takes about 40 minutes. When you arrive in Grindelwald, you can walk to our Sunstar hotel in about 10 minutes. If you would rather be collected by the free shuttle bus, please contact us in advance.
By car: From Interlaken or the Wilderswil / Grindelwald motorway exit, follow the signs. The journey from the motorway exit to Grindelwald takes about 30 minutes.
The Grindelwald Guest Card gives you free travel on the local/ski bus in Grindelwald. It also gives you discounts on the First cable car, at the local heritage museum and the sports centre and on various other local services. You will be given the card when you arrive at the hotel. You are free to use the card as soon as you have checked in, and it remains valid until midnight on your day of departure.

We are happy to collect you from the station in Grindelwald when you arrive and take you back there for your departure. The transfer is free of charge.
